A 20/20 Legacy: the centenary of the Northern School of Music

Artefact

1935

This is the Carroll family at the family home on Lapwing Lane. At the back on the right is a young Ida Gertrude Carroll (1905-1995, student and principal of the Northern School of Music). In the window of their home reads a partially obscured sign "ARP Warden" suggesting this was taken during the Second World War. Ida was the ARP Warden for Didsbury and Withington.
