Ida Gertrude Carroll (1905-1995, student and principal of the Northern School of Music) gushes her support for former pupils and shares encouragement with her own former pupil Joan Bamford.

Ida also celebrates becoming the second female president of the Incorporated Society of Musicians in decades, attaching a small clipping announcing the appointment.
