Artefact
This photo was taken at Bollington Arts Centre. The Electrical Alliance's Only gig as that night we recruited 2 new members and mutated into Mugwump from then on. The band comprised Sbilts on Sampler , Keyboards and loops..and Jamie Fisher on Vocals and Fire eating with Landmark guesting on Tenor Sax. We sent a demo to City Life and the reviewer described it as a " would be John Cooper Clarke with a nasal drawl ranting over a tinny drum machine". One of the tracks "A Soldiers life" was tipped to be a sure -fire hit with Gulf War Veterans. We thought it best not to mention to the owners of the Arts Centre about the Fire-Eating. The first blast of flame from Jamies mouth shot out about 20feet and licked ominously around the lights on the ceiling raising concerned looks from the audience...priceless.. we were advised to shorten the set. There were 9 other bands on that night from all over the North West...it was a festival arranged by Glass Unicorn who were supposed to play last but the whole thing over ran and they did not get time to play...........
