Last night James played at the MEN arena. I'd done some work for the show so got some guestie tickets. I haven't really followed the bands career. I used to love Stutter and know a lot of their singles (oh, and the Laid lp which i like too). But last night really was an exciting concert- the crowd totally into it and adoring- Tim still doing his eccentric-trance dance (looking like some wierd vulcan pixie with his in-ear monitors giving the impression of spock-ears). "We've Come Home" he said, we didn't 'Sit Down' (sorry!). At the end he said "Not a come-back but a step forward". At one point he said he'd wished he could be closer to the crowd and then leapt off the stage and walked up the steep banks of stairs and into the very excited fans where he was duly mobbed but like a pro he managed to get through the whole song unscathed. It took a while before he made it back to the stage for the next song! I took these above photos of the video screens (except the top one which is my proper view of it).

It was a really good night out although i realised, with slight dismay that nearly all the gigs i've been to recently have been in this huge sports arena (carlsberg £4 for a half litre bottle!).
