Artefact
Shirt from Manchester hardcore band Safeguard. Design "borrowed" from 80s NYHC band Straight Ahead. Safeguard were probably the last band that I consider part of that fun but scrappy era of "UKHC" (albeit in the 'faster' category, like Imbalance), before everyone got a little more aware of 80s US hardcore again, probably due to the dawn of faster internet (I remember downloading everything from Contrast HC archive) and the UK scene became a bit more codified.... these still had more of a punk heart and weren't afraid of speaking out on the issues contained in their songs, to people that probably didn't always want to hear (AND they still knew their Breakdown and Side By Side).
These were also the largest "medium" shirts ever printed.
