“My mate (One Yellow) accidently put his head through one of these that was in the top of the toilet door one boozy weekend. The owners were understanding at the time (it was pre "Claims Direct")”

“That was nice of them, those windows had survived fom 1897 - I still have the window from the ladies although that is in several pieces now also, but the gents window must have been thrown away when your mate broke it. I would like to get reproductions made for the new venue, the originals wouldn't be allowed anyway because of fire regulations.”

“And Head regulations I'll be bound...Though the carpet should have been forbidden under Hazardous materials regulations it was that minging..I loved the place though and saw some great gigs there..whens it gonna re-open?”

“The current schedule means that BotW will reopen in September 2008, We will be replacing the carpet - it sure wasn't that pleasant but it makes the sound so much better, plus it must be the coolest carpet this side of Persia. At some point we will probably sell squares of it to help fund the replacement (it's expensive weaving all those heads) - the perfect Christmas present for 2007.”
