Swans music shop - Oldham St ,MCR. just after it had shut.
focused on the home organist but good for the rare synth spotter,the only equivalent now being Dawsons..I think Swans moved about a bit,it ended up on an industrial estate in longsight.
think there should be a section on music shops( lost record stores too.) Theyre sort of being replaced by internet shopping . still some long term survivors like Forsyths on deansgate and the bizare Alan Gregorys on Mosely rd (how does that keeop going? school hire instruments i think)

A1 in the 70s was defo pre health and safety,it seemed like it just decended into the bedrock beneath the River Medlock,every
corridor cramed with cases ,you realy got clostraphobic down there ,one wrong turn and you d come out of a volcanoe in italy.

“I think it burnt down........I know this is nothing to do with Manchester but there were some amazing shops in Leeds. I got a Wasp Synth for £40 about 20 years ago in one of em..there was a TB 303 going for £60 a few years before the price went silly (wish I had bought it.)..I did get a Realistic Concertmate MG1 Synth which was made by Moog but sold through Tandys still got it its the same as the Rogue but uncool.....The shops got bulldozed...”
