Swans music shop - Oldham St ,MCR. just after it had shut.
focused on the home organist but good for the rare synth spotter,the only equivalent now being Dawsons..I think Swans moved about a bit,it ended up on an industrial estate in longsight.
think there should be a section on music shops( lost record stores too.) Theyre sort of being replaced by internet shopping . still some long term survivors like Forsyths on deansgate and the bizare Alan Gregorys on Mosely rd (how does that keeop going? school hire instruments i think)

“I think it burnt down........I know this is nothing to do with Manchester but there were some amazing shops in Leeds. I got a Wasp Synth for £40 about 20 years ago in one of em..there was a TB 303 going for £60 a few years before the price went silly (wish I had bought it.)..I did get a Realistic Concertmate MG1 Synth which was made by Moog but sold through Tandys still got it its the same as the Rogue but uncool.....The shops got bulldozed...”
