Master Tape
New Order
29th October 1986

Here's the tape for a gig at The Roxy in Phoenix, Arizona.

The setlist has been a mystery until now, although it looks like a few songs are missing from the beginning as it cuts in during 'Paradise' and there are only 9 songs where 13 is more likely.

01. Paradise (beginning missing)
02. Sunrise
03. Your Silent Face
04. State Of The Nation
05. Weirdo
06. Face Up
07. Age Of Consent
08. Temptation

09. Lonesome Tonight

“Good stuff - I have an interview tape from backstage at this show, for some reason the band declined an interview so the locals got Terry Mason to talk to them instead. One of the more unusual episodes!”
“I assume that Paradise was midway through the set, yeah. Gigography updated. Maybe someday an audience recording will surface, so we'll have a record of the full set.”
“Paradise was probably 3rd in the set. may have been 4th. Sunrise was often 4th, not so often 5th, as the 5th slot at the time was generally reserved for a slower one (if you can call KW1 slower). Smart money would be on BLT and TPK having been the first two, looking at what they played the next night (no BLT, and TPK in the encore). That would have meant this was a 10+1 set though, unusual as they usually set out the minimum number of songs per tour, on this tour it had seemed to be 11 + whatever they saw fit at the end. Then again, this is New Order!

We'll never get an audience tape of this one now I wouldn't think, highly unlikely anyway. Even though someone obviously had a tape recorder hence the interview tape.”
