Feature on sixties singer P J Proby that appeared in issue 11 of Muze magazine. The interview was conducted at the home of Jack Venet, one time manager of the Rocking Vickers, who owned Tiffany's in Rochdale at the time. Jim (P J) had been working with members of New Order and had released a version of Love Will Tear Us Apart on Savoy Records that he described as a 'bootleg'.

“Savoy Records was run by David Britton & Michael Butterworth on Deansgate. PJ Proby also recorded with Rowetta from The Happy Mondays.”

“Yes I remember trying to arrange the interview through Savoy but it wasn't easy to get in touch with them. Or maybe it was Proby who was difficult to get in touch with. In the end I learnt that he was living in New Mills which is only a few miles from me. He soon left there but the lady he had been staying with gave me Jack Venet's number, who set things up.”
