First Demo Tape of There goes Johnnies Airforce (never did decide on how to spell it) There was about 200 of these sold at gigs or sent to record companies. It was self financed and recorded at Pullman Sound Studios in Knutsford on 10th and 11th December 1988. The Studio was on a railway station platform and you could occasionally hear a train but it was well soundproofed. We got loads of rejection letters from the record companies but a request for more material from the A and R dept of C.B.S ...we took ages to follow it up with our 2nd demo and our enthusiasm was dampened by a standard rejection letter for our efforts. we got a few good reviews though in some of the music mags
