Artefact
heres my studio bill for some remixes and studio time outside 808state (808state s bill would be seperate) @ Fon studios in Sheffield.
Bit frustrating there wasnt anywhere good in MCR at that time.
(anyone like to argue that?)
as atrip over the pennines evry time was a pain, A Charnwood on the bill is a Hotel . The £ figures are the studio costs, which I think were suppose to be £500 a day but vary.according to project.
the Papua track is Future Sound of London.(whos Brian Duggan used to live in Withington in the late 80s and did a few of the early MCR raves as Stakker)
YMO are Yellow Magic Orchestra from Japan (a very influential electronics band from the same era as Kraftwerk)
The sugarcubes track was Planet on Its It.
The Bjork Track was Army of Me and Modern Things which we were commiting to tape from a previous session in Phil Kirbys House, this wasnt a final version.
Blue Pearl was an update of the mix i had done a few years earlier in Square One in Bury(the Hit)
Shimmer were a duo from London i worked with a few times, one of them worked for Gilbert and George ,and they were rather good in an arty way (bit Pet Shop Boys).
Not shure about the GM days probably other remixes Think one is a Primal Scream ..Damn I was fast in those days!
a lesson to be learnt.
