THE NOW-DENIAL (the German band, not the US one) playing at the Beerhouse around the time their "Viva Viva Threatening" LP was out. The singer's washed-pink Chain of Strength t-shirt was something of a fashion sensation. Tagged along over to Leeds and Edinburgh with them after putting on this gig, then got the train back from some rural station off the A1.
