The Freshies
Brookfield Hotel
1981

The Freshies were one of the truly independent bands of the 70s and 80s. Perfect guitar pop who made every effort to please their fans. And the gig I attended at the Brookfield Hotel in Stockport was just 1 example.

Not only did they do 2 gigs on the same day. The first in the afternoon for under 18 fan base and another later that evening for the not so freshie-faced. But they also gave us all the tunes we wanted to hear, threw out badges and "baiser" records.

What fan could want for more?

Just 1 of a multitude of Mega memories of Manc Music.
