Backstage Pass

Photo pass for the 2013 Festwich Festival held annually in Prestwich. Festwich is a free festival with a line up predominately made up of tribute acts but they also sometimes feature other young bands who play original music. In 2013 Manchester band The Fallout played and I photographed them along with tribute acts such as The Flew Fighters, Pantera UK, Teenage Man Club, Blurb and the Kaiser Thiefs (the last two bands were the same people but they did their back-to-back sets wearing different t-shirts). This pass was surprisingly hard to come by. I had got it agreed in advance but security were not taking any chances with me. They kept me waiting by the back stage area for 20 minutes whilst they radioed various people and someone from my village clocked me and started tweeting that I was trying to blag my way into the VIP area which was rather embarrassing. I've not done a Festwich since.
