Hardrock Concert Theatre

Last March I went to a night called Social Service at the Greatstone Hotel, Stretford, and got talking to the owner of the pub, Adrian. He has a fascinating collections of 1960-70s club membership cards from a variety of Greater Manchester venues, and lots of fond memories to go with them.

He also spoke at length about the Hardrock Concert Theatre and kindly rooted out this fantastic Stephen Stills and Manasass poster to show me. I've heard a few people mention this gig. Apparently it was a blinder!

“My brother just sent me a link to this. He and I were at the concert with a friend of ours. I was 17, my brother 14. Our friend was about 20. It was a great concert. We drove down from Alnwick in Northumberland to see it.”
