30th May 2015

Section of the programme for Echo Trace; a day of creative events held in Manchester Central Library. The event saw sessions led by writers, poets, artists and musicians. In the performance space sound sculptures were created by music collective The Noise Upstairs in collaboration with The Owl Project and later in the day young musicians from The Brighter Sounds project performed a followed up to their 2014 Chaos to Order library performance. The day ended with this performance; 15 musicians had worked with mentors Sara Lowes and Liam Frost to create a 40 minute composition which was performed live to a gathered audience and then available for download via Soundcloud. The musicians were: Beth Anslow, Laurence Boot, Kate Butler, Robbie Cavannagh, Maria de Juan Bullejos, Franchesqua Evans, Ben Finney, James Holt, Sam Jones, George Leeming, Michael John Mirza, Thomas Pochino, Chandra Scarpetta and Ayesha Tan-Jones.
