Kings Hall (Belle Vue)

1978 was a busy year for George and co.

Not content with releasing Parliament's 'Motor Booty Affair' Funkadelic's 'One Nation Under A Groove', Bride Of Funkenstein's 'Funk or Walk' and Parlet's 'Pleasure Principle' albums that year, there was still time to do over 40 shows in the States and Europe.

4 different bands, essentially the same line-up in each, but with different people taking lead vocals etc.

“This was the longest continuous performance I've ever seen by any act(s) - over four hours of non-stop funk. Thing is, the show started before I took my seat and I left before it finished ... heaven knows how long it actually lasted. It could still be going on for all I know. It certainly gave meaning to 'Nothing can stop us now'! It was a real one-off - and fantatsic fun.”
