Here's a relatively early incarnation of The Bamford Blues Band from late '83, caught in action at The Boar's Head in Stockport market place. Left to right; Paul Bamford, Ian "Joe" Slater, Lynne Bamford, Paul Baines, Chris Nelson and Duncan "Jim" Moore (struggling with leather jacket several sizes too small bought off the bass player).

“1. Actually, I think the jacket was the right size. It was me that was too big.

2. You're right, it is Special 20. The MEN press article dated April '86 says "about a year ago the Bamfords (...) formed their own band" so I'm guessing Special 20 lasted up to around mid '85.”
