Artefact

Fanzine
Buzzcocks, Mick Middles
1977

Page 6 of punk fanzine Ghast Up Issue 1 featuring part one of an interview with Buzzcocks conducted upstairs in the Abercrombie pub (Now the Sir Ralph Abercrombie) on Bootle Street, Manchester. This was the second line up of Pete Shelley, Steve Diggle, Garth Smith and John Maher. Contrary to legend Shelley did not arrive in an orange kagoul and brushed denim flares. I recall his black straight leg jeans looking quite outrageous at that point in time and attracting a few bemused stares from the Manchester United fans passing through the city centre.
