16th April 1979

This ticket was from Malvern Winter Gardens, April 1979. The support act was none other than Simple Minds and it is, to this day, the loudest gig I've ever attended (had to move back, away from the PA, which is unheard-of, in my book!)

“Loudest gig I ever went to was Gary Clail and the On-U Sound System at the International. Jeez!

"Bass! How loud can you go?"”
“Yeah. Gary Clail. Very underrated talent. Would loved to have seen him live. Any idea what he's doing now? It would be criminal if he's no longer "in music".”
