Master Tape
New Order
14th June 1985

The Pink, Punk, Pimms event, New Hall, Cambridge (14th June 1985).

Amongst the live tapes in the Rob Gretton archive are recordings of gigs that have remained undocumented since they occurred, the setlist is still unknown and no known recordings exist.

This is one such gig.

The band played a one off gig at this strange student ball and none of their usual audience were in attendance that night so little has been known about it.....until now!

Setlist.

02. Ceremony
03. Temptation
04. Your Silent Face
05. Sooner Than You Think
06. This Time Of Night
07. Sub Culture

“Some pics of their performance can be found at www.colpur.com/CTW.html
“any chance of anyone who went to this gig writing something about it?”
“We've been trying to track down people who went for several years, the guy who played in the support band hadn't got a clue about the Order and didn't pay any attention to their show, and a girl student's recollection of the songs played was evidently confused with the WOMAD show a few weeks later!”
“I've contacted my friend who confirmed she was in attendance. She's sending me everything she remembers from the gig, since she's an avid New Order fan that happened to be there. Said she even has an odd shirt still (not sure if its official or someone sold to her) and she thinks her flyer is around somewhere. Will keep you guys updated :)

She did say that Sub-Culture was awesome!”
