Two photos from Doves US tour with The Strokes as support.

The top photo shows manc music mainstay Simon 'Crommie' Crompton. Crommie has been involved in Manchester music since he left school, working with bands such as New Order, Paris Angels etc... the moustache isn't real!

The bottom pic shows Crommie with the legendary Dennis and Lois (of Happy Mondays fame). Dennis and Lois are a New York couple who have dedicated their lives to music and have fallen in love with Manchester and it's music. This photo was taken in Philadelphia (I think), on tour with Doves.

They first met Doves singer Jimi Goodwin when he went to a Ramones gig at the Apollo in 1980 (he was 8 years old!) when 'Denlo' were touring with the Ramones selling t-shirts. They took Jimi backstage to meet Joey. They then met him again in 2000 on Doves first trip to the States. They were big Doves fans and were amazed when it dawned on them that this was the same person as the kid they had introduced to Joey Ramone 20 years ago! a great story.
