A series of photographs shot 'on location' in the Peak District on the day of filming for the daft 'A Very Peak Practice' film. The film was made for the band's first national tour.

It was conceived after a couple of nights serious drinking (etc.). Andy wanted to get Prince in there somehow but Pavarotti ended up taking his place as the costume hire place didn't have a Prince costume!

The filming was done in one day. I had organised with Express Dairies that we could use one of their milk floats for the day, on the pretence that we were making a full-blown music video. I think when they received the finished film they were a bit perturbed! They had to get the float delivered to the moors - in the middle of nowhere. Jez enjoyed driving it the most and managed to get it upto about... oooh 15 mph!

Jimi was hilarious as the bear. My favourite moment was when a tractor pulled up with some hoighty farmer on it who asked us if we had permission to film there. Only ITV had permisssion to film there for their seriously crap programme 'Peak Practice'.
Jimi, dressed as a large teddy bear had a fairly heated argument with this farmer. Stoopid me turned the camera off, which I just didn't think about as it would have been a classic bit of footage!

There was a crackin' review of the film in The Gaurdian newspaper. It read far too much in it, going on about how the film was about EMI paying a sum of money to Doves for the signing (EMI symbolised by Pavarrotti). But could it be the death of the 'Indie' Doves (the Grim Reaper). None of this was true of course. We were just being stupid!
