Master Tape
State Victims
Out Of The Blue Studio
1983

Ancoats, once an industrial stronghold, was by the late 1979,s and early 80,s a forgotten corner of manchester, crumbling, decayed, out of touch. A perfect place for the disposessed, and Out of the Blue Studios on blossom street was a perfect place to reherse and Record.

Bands as diverse as the Fall, Oasis, early incarnations of the smiths, Carmel, and a host of other bands rehearsed and recorded, often having a session break in the Edinburgh Castle, just next door.

30 years after, we have discovered an origonal 1/4 inch ampex master tape in a shed in rural cambridge of stockport/salford punk Oi band state vicitims. Currently in the process of trying to have it restored and remastered. If it can survive Margaret thatcher, The Tory Goverment and Sticky Shed Syndrome, some punk Oi noise of days gone by may emerge.
