Sticks in my mind because it was the last time I had a chance to hang out with JD. I went down to the venue early and we all went looking to get something to eat around Tottenham Court Road. Inevitably, this ended up with Hooky and Barney daring Ian to eat a load of leftover rice, if I recall correctly. The kind of thing that regularly happened when you were in their company. I also have a recollection of everyone going a bit quiet in the dressing room when Annik appeared. The gig itself was packed to the gills with lots of Manchester luminaries in attendance
